Finally in March 2017 I began my PADI SCUBA training. I’d given learning to dive a go in 2012, but due to an existing back injury I didn’t feel comfortable when it came to the confined dive component. Fast forward five years and I was determined to conquer my concerns and became a qualified Open Water Diver (It wasn’t smooth sailing, a bung ear on day 2 of my open water dives meant postponing the final two dives, but all of that story will be covered in the Crete blog).
By the end of 2017 I’d qualified, started my Advanced Open Water and gained my Enriched Air Nitrox certifications. On these pages I’m hoping to share any dive photos I take, or relevant dive blog postings.
UPDATE: As 10/06/2018 I have now completed my Dry Suit, and Advanced Open Water certifications. The AOW dives included Deep/Navigation/Peak Performance Buoyancy/Wreck/Digital Underwater Photography Adventure dives. I’m hoping to complete PPB, Wreck, DUP, and perhaps Navigation certifications this year.
